Byzantine art has followed the historical paths and evolution of Christianity, from the early Christian period, the Byzantine times, the fall of Byzantium and continues to evolve to this day as spiritual and religious painting. An art that tells the story of the Orthodox tradition of our Church and refers to the life of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Saints of our Church who through their personal struggle received Theosis. The hagiographer Panagiota Boutsikaki, after years of study with respect to the Holy Art of Byzantine Iconography, presents you with samples of her work on portable icons and frescoes.
